The movie that will surely haunt my week. A movie of epic proportions that embody the storyline.

300-Frankย Miller

It is a good treat of my good friend from Accenture SLC-Roy Leonin. Thank You bro! hehe. He won a leadership award and the grand prize is the movie of any choice to Globe Platinum Exclusive Cinema at Gateway. I was so happy when he finally announced the date when he will be treating, fortunately enough it was moved to a date that I am most comfortably free, on a Sunday-yesterday.

He also texted me to bring along a friend to accompany me of the treat. I was with my brother though because of his car. hehe.. ๐Ÿ™‚ Waah I am just so happy it was the first time that I watched a movie at Globe Cinema 10. Unlimited drinks, popcorn, reclining chair, what else can you ask for.. WAHHH! I am so privileged and thankful to Roy.. hehe.. I think I will be addicted to go to that theater everytime I will go watch a movie.. It is so addicting. ๐Ÿ™‚

Then the movie, well at first I really do not like the movie about history and soldiers and ancient story. But it just dragged me to this entirely different world where you get to appreciate those kind of stuffs. The story telling was so fine that I was awaken from my sleepiness. hehe.. Some of the aspects of the film are so great. I liked the special effects so much, it just really made me think, how did they do that? No way, is that for real? Every scene will really ask yourself that same intriguing question, is this for real? – legs being amputated, heads and hand being chopped. All the goriness was all there. hehe.. I also liked the comedy behind every story. When the Arkanians and Spartans meet to join forces, they were mocked on the number of Spartans to join the army and they were told: “You, what is your profession? – potter, and you? – smith, Spartans who are we? – SOLDIERS! (well I presume that is what I heard..:)) And King Leonidas continued – We have more soldiers that you have.” And other comedies from the movie.ย  The battle was superb! I couldn’t elaborate more.. hehe.ย  I personally liked theirs abs, no gay undertone over there.ย  Start building those abs now.. hehe..

Overall, it was a movie that everyone should be watching. A movie that I think, mature audiences will appreciate and gain something from. It is not all about fighting, but what you are fighting for, and not giving up to it. Fight to the end. Sacrifices that are worth remembering.

SPARTANS!!! WOO! WOO! ๐Ÿ™‚

wag kang lilingon

House Council decided to go to a movie, after should I say tiring Planning Sem. A treat after all those debates and senseful conversations on the futute of me beloved dormitory-YAKAL.

At first we were hesistant to watch this film because Athan, gave this film a bad review as perceived by his friend. So we decided to go for Happy Feet, we argued but later agreed to watch Wag Kang Lilingon on the grounds of giving us something to shout our lungs out.

Together with Yes, Myk, Raymond, Athan and ofcourse Junjie hurried to SM NORTH cinema 8 to watch the film. We are so glad we just arrived on time. WE watched it from start. SPOILERS alert. hehe..

The movie starts with Melissa being someone who can see dead people during her shifts at 3am. Deaths were common inside the hospital and were being blamed for this doctor, who is so aloof with others. When things turn so scary were in Melissa started to be chased by this ghostly apperances, she turned to James her boyfriend and then all of a sudden she became this mad girl that utters the words “Wag Kang Lilingon” to James that she eventually kills.

Another story revolves around the family who is continuously being haunted by these unsightly apparitions, because Angel has opened the port through the mirror. The mirror has been a witness to a crime that has been committed by the caretaker of the house. And according to her friend that is a spiritist, in order to free them she has to go back. Unfortunately the caretaker were suspicious that they were there to gather enough information and send him to prison, so the caretaker decided to kill her. And eventually he did kill her with Nina, her little sister, seeing this traumatic experience.

The twist of the story is that Nina and Melissa is one, she decides to work in that hospital because it is the house their family previously settled. And she continues to kill as a revenge to her family.

I like the film, I’d really enjoyed it, the visuals are good I can say. a merit to Quark Henares and his team, good work! Will this be the start of quality films done by Filipino film makers.

I’d better stop, writing this at the halls of Yia hall, give me the creeps. hehe.. ๐Ÿ™‚

WooaH!!

First Day High Ticket

Woooh! High School Musical ba ito? hehe. It says it all mejo ginaya nila.

Next time wag manunuod ng mga premier. hehe.. jhoke only. Basta libre CARRY.. Salamat kay Kai at sa kaibigan niya. Sa uulitin. ๐Ÿ™‚

MoA – Premier Cinema

Superman

With my Pisoysi friends we watched another DC movie franchise. hehehe. Starring as Brandon Routh THE MAN OF STEEL and Kate Bossworth as Lois Lane. The film was great i should say. Comedy, in my surprise, was added to spice it up a bit. I like the way the punchlines were delivered. You would hear the moviegoers laugh to scenes that would really tickle you.

Go watch it.

La na akong masabi, basta ganda!

In Her Shoes

After all that DVD bad-copy, I have finished watching it. And I admit, I love it!

Drama explosion!

Imagine your sibling, your bestfriend, your rival? That is exactly what happened in this heart-warming but truly hilarious movie. Maggie (Cameron Diaz) was the type of girl how never finish a degree, who does not know how to read and who is a terrible stealer (from money to boyfriend and to shoes.) She once auditioned on MTV, she can get it done good (looks and style) but she can't hardly read a word. A totally different pole, her sister, Rose (Toni Collete) has a degree on Law on a firm where she meets her boyfriend. Has her own apartment and can really support herself. But things really has to go wrong, Maggie and her flirtatious moves made out with her boyfriend's sister and the bad news is her sister caught them at her own apartment.

The movie also revolves on the grandmother and grandchildren relationship, they were orphan early in life because of the "death" of thier mother, which makes it hard for them as they grow up. They have a grandmother but thier father has hid them from them. The movie ends with Rose happily married with another co-worker, whom I admire because of the true love he showed to Rose; and Maggie having a blast at the Retirement community at Florida.

I liked the part where Maggie, learns to read through her daily reading to an lod man in the community. I was touched when she continue to read the poem eventhough it has really hard for her. I liked the way her sister has been trying to help her sister get a new job, to earn her own living. I somehow connect to the movie, my brother has been tirelessly work for no one in particular, he has no wife at 34, and I have always ask him for help many times, and i dont think i have repayed him. My best wishes for him!

I recommend this to everyone! One good movie that shouldn't be missed. ๐Ÿ™‚

We should have watched a much earlier timeslot but we just can't afford to lose a minute or two of the action-packed thriller Mission Impossible 3. We watched it by 6:45pm, but due to some unexpected turn of events we arrived late. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ 2-5 mins or so, because we bought a ZAGU of all places ISETANN pa! hehe..

Ok now we are ready, the sequel started with the bad guy torturing Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his wife (Julia) Michelle Monaghan, which I must say kinda look-alike Tom Cruise offscreen wife Katie Holmes. The story revolves on getting the Rabbit's Foot at Shanghai (of all places!). The story lets you think what the thruth really is, many deceiving people. What amazes me is how they create a replica of the faces they needed to look like. That what really cool!!!

The stunts were great! It was awesome. Of course there is the usual mission impossible trademark the vertical descent. You really have to see it to be amazed. I liked their team, the girl was really nice too. I so liked her. Their disguises were cool, from being a welder, DHL personnel (plugging) and priest to the agent they really are. Nice one!
A nice movie that we should have watched at the GPC (Globe Platinum Cinema) well maybe next time. ๐Ÿ™‚
